Run a calibration cycle

Use this guide for the shipped 9-box calibration workflow: cycle setup, rating collection, reveal, movement tracking, and gap review.

Create the cycle​

  1. Open 9-Box.
  2. Create a cycle with a title, period label, and rating due date.
  3. Add eligible participants.
  4. Confirm each participant has the right L1 and L2 reviewer context.
  5. Open the cycle when reviewers are ready to submit.

Collect and review ratings​

  1. Monitor submitted and outstanding L1/L2 ratings.
  2. Follow up with reviewers outside Cadence when submissions are overdue.
  3. Reveal calibrated outcomes only after required ratings are submitted.
  4. Review performance, potential, box placement, movement, and gap visibility.

Boundary​

Automated bias coaching, KVD designation workflows, compensation actions, predictive retention decisions, and downstream role recasting remain human-led or roadmap-labeled.
